Government Agency: A full-time employee of a Canadian or international government agency (federal, provincial, local or tribal). Government-supported universities or colleges, government contractors, and government consultants do not qualify. Economic development organizations should register under the Government category.
Full-Time Student or Faculty: To qualify for the Student/Faculty registration rate you must be a current full-time student or faculty member at an educational institution. You must bring your institution ID to registration to verify your status.
Non-Profit Wind Power / Clean Energy Advocacy Groups: Discounted registrations are available to certain non-profit wind power / clean energy organizations that receive pre-approval by CanWEA. This category is intended for specific wind power / clean energy advocacy groups as well as qualified environmental or energy related non-profits such as the Sierra Club, Energy Foundation or World Wildlife Fund among others. Economic development organizations do not qualify for the non-profit registration rate and instead should register under the government registration category. Email registrations@canwea.ca with your full contact information and a brief description of your non-profit organization including a link to your organization website to request non-profit approval.
Forum Fee
Forum registration includes: a networking reception, continental breakfasts, lunches, access to the speaker presentations, plus invaluable education from experts in the wind energy community and critical networking opportunities. The fee does not include accommodation, non-program related meals, travel or any other expenses that may be incurred by delegates.
Payment Terms
Registration fees are due and payable at the time of registration.
If you are paying by cheque, you are not considered registered until full payment is received.
Prices quoted exclude applicable taxes which are added at the current rate.
Advance registration rates must be paid in full by 5:00pm EST April 10, 2013, or the on-site registration rate will apply.
Cancellation and Refund Policy
All requests for refunds must be submitted to Sharon Fryer, Manager, Meetings and Events in writing by fax (613-627-4798) or by e-mail (events@canwea.ca).
Registration fees are not transferable to any other CanWEA event.
Requests received by March 29, 2013 receive a full refund less a $100.00 administrative fee per person.
No refunds will be made for cancellations received after March 29, 2013 or for no-shows.
Substitutions
Substitutions will be processed on a complimentary basis. Must be done in writing by email and sent by April 5, 2013. Simply email the full contact information for the new attendee along with the name of the attendee they are replacing to events@canwea.ca.
Substitutions will not be accepted onsite.
Cancellations and/or Changes by Event Organizer
In the unlikely event that CanWEA is forced to change the location of the Forum, every effort will be made to give delegates as much advance notice as possible. If the delegate is unable to attend the Forum at the revised location, CanWEA will refund 100% of any prepaid Forum fee upon written request. However, CanWEA will not be liable for any other costs incurred including (for example) travel charges or any consequential damages.
Your Contact Information
Information provided to CanWEA through the event registration form may be used to contact you with further details on this event when necessary. The information is published in the event "delegate list" that is circulated to all event attendees with the proceedings and is added to the CanWEA database in order to send you notices, from time to time, describing other association events. You may choose to opt out of being listed on the "delegate list" and/or the CanWEA database during the online registration process.
Right to Refuse Admission
CanWEA reserves the right to refuse admission, by refunding the fee, or, a proportionate amount if admission is refused partway through the Forum.
Photo and Video Release
CanWEA will take photographs and some video at the CanWEA Western Forum 2013 and may use them in CanWEA news or promotional materials whether in print, electronic format or other media, including the CanWEA website. By participating in the CanWEA Western Forum 2013, you grant CanWEA the right to use your name and photograph for such purposes.
Conference Attire
Business casual is the attire all conference events.
